Tachulator mounted on Craftsman/Atlas lathe

Mounting the Tachulator on Craftsman/Atlas 12X36 late model lathe. A sheet metal bracket is mounted to the headstock cover with pop rivets. The tach is mounted to the bracket with double faced foam tape. The sensor is mounted to the left inside wall of the headstock next to the 2" diameter collar on the spindle, also with foam tape. Originally had 10 marks but I have since replaced that strip with a single mark (half flat black and half bare aluminum. The reading is much more stable and is working good down to 28 rpm. This set up is easy to install and works great. With a little ingenuity, the tach could be mounted on any lathe.
